Captain Hugo Prada

Originally from Argentina, Capt. Hugo grew up fishing the South Atlantic for bottom fish and occasionally chasing golden Dorados along the Paraná River. His childhood summers were spent up north, pulling lobster traps with family.

Capt. Hugo moved to the States for further education after finishing school in Argentina, earning a degree in Oceanography from the Florida Institute of Technology. During this time, he also became a scuba diving instructor, working across various islands. While in Bermuda he was introduced to commercial fishing, where he quickly learned to fish for wahoo on the Argus Bank, all while eyeing the marlin boats in the deeper waters, dreaming of joining them.

In the early 2000s, Capt. Prada headed to the US Virgin Islands, aiming to join tournament boats. His persistence on the docks paid off, allowing him to fish the famed North Drop with renowned captains and mates.

After a stint back in Argentina, where he dabbled in entrepreneurship, the call of the sea brought Capt. Hugo back to St. Thomas. Despite a delay due to the global pandemic, he returned to what he loves most—charter fishing in the beautiful waters of St. Thomas, where he’s been ever since.

Captain KJ Terry

Captain KJ Terry’s journey into the world of fishing began in the tranquil waters of South Central Arkansas, a place where his childhood was filled with the simple joys of reeling in bass and catfish from the local ponds and creeks. This early passion for angling laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong pursuit. It was a twist of fate that brought KJ to the vibrant shores of St. Thomas five years ago, but it was the allure of the island’s vibrant lifestyle and the rich diversity of its marine life that convinced him to call it home.

Since embracing the island life, Captain KJ has quickly made a name for himself in the competitive fishing scene of St. Thomas. In just half a decade, he has distinguished himself with impressive victories in local tournaments, claiming top honors in not one, but two Wahoo tournaments, alongside similar triumphs in Mahi and Kingfish competitions. These achievements are a testament to his skill, dedication, and deep understanding of the local waters and their inhabitants.

For those looking to experience the thrill of fishing in St. Thomas, Captain KJ Terry stands out as a true professional in the field. His expertise, honed both in the freshwater challenges of his youth and the dynamic marine environment of the Caribbean, ensures an unforgettable adventure on the water. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or new to the sport, a day out fishing with Captain KJ is guaranteed to be filled with excitement, learning, and, of course, plenty of fish.

Captain Renoir (Ren) James

Renoir James is a 26-year-old maritime enthusiast from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. His love for the sea began while working with a boat detailing crew—swimming, exploring, and deepening his appreciation for the island every day. That early passion led him to pursue a career in the maritime industry, where he’s gained hands-on experience working aboard a variety of charter vessels.

Renoir is excited to continue growing in his career by exploring new waters, learning more about the ocean, and inspiring others to connect with the sea. When he’s not on the water, you’ll find him enjoying beach days with family or hanging out with his crew.

Captain Dallas Loupot

Originally from Texas, Dallas grew up around lakes and developed a deep love for the water at a young age. He began competitive swimming and diving at just eight years old, and after high school, that passion led him to serve in the U.S. Navy. His connection to the ocean only grew stronger during the years he lived in Marina del Rey, California—where his love for boating and diving truly took hold.

After moving to St. Petersburg, Florida, Dallas immersed himself in the local water scene, picking up freediving and spearfishing while becoming the go-to friend for anyone new to snorkeling or nervous about the ocean. In 2022, he made the leap—leaving the corporate sales world behind to pursue a full-time life on the sea.

Now a licensed captain with both OUPV and Master credentials, Dallas has spent the last two years running snorkel trips throughout the USVI and BVI. He brings a calm, confident energy to every charter, along with a genuine love for helping others explore the ocean.

Reviews from our Guests

We went out for a 4 hour charter (4 adults and 2 kids (10 & 8)) with Capt Danny. We were looking for dinner and he recommended doing some bottom fishing to keep the kids busy and stated that there would be plenty of fish. He was spot on! We caught a ton of snapper and grouper, but he got us onto a good size king fish and a blackfin tuna! Some also got away! All in all a great great trip! Would highly recommend these guys!
